Support

Help with scanning, organizing, and exporting.

ShelfSweep 1.0 supports iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 18 and later.

Scan a shelf

Choose Scan shelf, then use the camera or Photos. For best results, keep spines upright, fill the frame, reduce glare, and capture readable titles.

Review recognition

Recognition creates candidates, not final facts. Edit the title, author, ISBN, category, and shelf before saving.

Check duplicates

Use Check to search by title, author, or ISBN. A possible match is shown for review; ShelfSweep never buys, orders, or deletes a book automatically.

Loans and reminders

Add a borrower label and optional due date. If you enable notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. ShelfSweep does not read Contacts.

Export and backup

JSON backup is free. Pro adds CSV, PDF, and ZIP. Files are created locally and go only to the destination you choose in Apple’s share sheet.

Pro purchase and restore

ShelfSweep Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Use Restore purchases on the Pro screen when using the same Apple Account on a supported device.

Troubleshooting

If no text is recognized, try a brighter, straighter photo or add the book manually. If the camera is unavailable, enable Camera access in iOS Settings. If notifications are off, due dates remain in ShelfSweep but alerts will not appear. If the Pro product cannot load, confirm App Store access, then try Restore purchases.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual books inside the app, use the local data controls in Settings, or remove ShelfSweep from the device. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them.

What should I include in a support email?

Include ShelfSweep version 1.0, your iPhone or iPad model, OS version, what you expected, what happened, and the steps that reproduce the issue. Do not send private library exports unless you choose to.
