Troubleshooting

  1. Access denied: Open system Settings, choose PhotoSweep AI, then Photos, and select the available access level.
  2. Limited library: In the same Photos permission screen, update the selected items or choose Full Access, then return and scan again.
  3. iCloud-only item: Open the item in Apple Photos and wait for it to download to this device before scanning again.
  4. No candidates: Confirm access, keep the app in the foreground during the scan, then scan again. Conservative matching may correctly return no cleanup candidates.
  5. Deletion failed: Reopen PhotoSweep, scan again, select fewer items, and confirm the system deletion sheet. Check Screen Time or device-management restrictions if Photos changes are blocked.
