How it works

1

Scan

Scan your photo library on device, then review cleanup groups before anything is deleted.

2

On-device review

These photos were visually matched on this device. One recommended photo and all favorites are protected.

3

Review before delete

PhotoSweep never deletes photos automatically. You choose the items to remove, and Photos moves them to Recently Deleted so you can recover them if needed.

Privacy

Local scan only

PhotoSweep does not collect personal data, analytics, advertising identifiers, tracking data, photos, videos, feature prints, or photo-library contents automatically.

Common questions

Why does PhotoSweep need Photos access?

It needs access to inspect cleanup candidates on device and to send only your confirmed deletion request to Photos. If access was denied, open system Settings, choose PhotoSweep, then Photos.

Why did the scan find no candidates?

PhotoSweep uses conservative rules. Similar photos must pass an on-device visual check, and favorites and recommended photos are protected from deletion suggestions.

Can I recover a deleted item?

Photos normally keeps deleted items in Recently Deleted for recovery according to your system settings.

How do I suggest an improvement or new feature?

Open Settings, choose Feature Ideas, enter your suggestion, and choose Review Email. Your mail app opens with a message addressed to vshia98@gmail.com. You can review or edit it, and nothing is sent until you choose Send.
