Package-date rotation

Know what turns next in every zone.

Confirm the printed date type, follow a seven-day rail, and keep each used or discarded event in its original zone-and-time context.

Three views, one rotation record

Use Next

A seven-day rail orders confirmed batches by time while keeping Pantry, Fridge, Freezer, or a custom zone visible.

Capture Date

Use the camera, one selected photo, or manual entry. Confirm Best Before, Use By, Sell By, or Packed On before saving.

Rotation Log

Used and discarded events retain quantities and optional user-entered value estimates without presenting a savings score.

Zone and time together

The same confirmed package date drives the rail, local reminder, active batch, and later event record.

From printed label to rotation event

Capture the package date

Choose Camera, one PhotosPicker image, or manual entry. Recognition runs on the device.

Confirm the label context

Review item, label type, date, zone, quantity, package size, and optional cost. Every recognized field stays editable.

Follow the seven-day rail

Use Next places the nearest confirmed dates first without turning a printed date into a food-safety verdict.

Record the event

Mark one quantity used or close the remaining batch as discarded; Rotation Log retains the factual event.

A deliberate privacy boundary

PantryTurn has no developer account system, backend, cloud AI, ads, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDK. Inventory, outcomes, and reminder choices stay in the app container. Scan images are not retained by PantryTurn. Camera and notifications are requested only after the related action; Apple’s PhotosPicker shares only the image you select.

Base rotation plus one toolkit

Without a purchase, PantryTurn includes 40 active batches, Pantry/Fridge/Freezer, Capture Date and manual confirmation, Use Next, local reminders, Rotation Log, and complete JSON backup/restore. PantryTurn Rotation Toolkit is the only in-app purchase. It is a one-time non-consumable that adds unlimited active batches, custom zones, multi-batch actions, PDF rotation reports, and CSV rotation tables. There is no subscription or external checkout. Apple supplies the current storefront price inside the app.

FAQ

Does PantryTurn decide whether food is safe?

No. Printed dates and OCR results are organizational information. Packaging, storage conditions, official local guidance, sensory checks, and your judgment take priority.

Does rotation require a developer server?

No. Capture, confirmation, the seven-day rail, reminders, Rotation Log, and file generation work without a PantryTurn account or backend. StoreKit and public help links require their respective network services when used.

Can I move my rotation records?

Yes. JSON backup and restore are included. The one-time toolkit also creates PDF and CSV rotation files locally.

Built for iPhone and iPad

PantryTurn 1.0 supports iOS and iPadOS 18 or later. App Store availability follows Apple’s review.
