Privacy Policy

Your selected files stay outside any developer cloud.

Effective and last updated: July 21, 2026.

Plain-language summary

OffloadProof is a local-first iOS and iPadOS app. It does not require a developer account and does not send selected files, folder names, bookmarks, checksums, session history, reports, identifiers, diagnostics, or usage activity to the developer. The developer operates no OffloadProof backend.

Information collected and data we do not collect

The developer does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, contacts, files, photos, videos, folder paths, checksums, reports, advertising identifiers, analytics, crash reports, payment-card details, or tracking data through OffloadProof. Information created by the app is stored locally for the features you request.

Permissions and folder access

OffloadProof does not request Photos, Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Location, Health, Bluetooth, Local Network, Notifications, or App Tracking Transparency permission. You grant access only by selecting folders through Apple’s Files picker. The app stores security-scoped bookmarks so you can resume selected locations. iOS may ask you to reselect a folder if access becomes stale.

Local processing versus cloud processing

File enumeration, copying, read-back hashing, SHA-256 comparison, session history, and report generation run on the device. There is no cloud AI, developer cloud sync, remote database, or remote account. A third-party File Provider you select in Files may transmit or store files under its own policy; that provider is your chosen storage destination, not an OffloadProof processor.

Purchases and payment handling

OffloadProof is sold as a paid App Store download with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Apple processes storefront pricing, payment, receipts, refunds, and purchase history. OffloadProof does not receive or store full payment-card details and contains no external checkout.

Data sharing and third parties

OffloadProof contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, social, external AI, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. An exported PDF, CSV, or SHA-256 file leaves the app only when you choose a destination in Apple’s share sheet. Apple services and any File Provider or export destination you choose then handle that file under their own terms.

Data retention and deletion

Folder bookmarks, local settings, and session history remain until you clear history, remove individual sessions, or delete the app. Clearing history does not delete source or destination files. Exported reports remain wherever you saved them. Removing the app removes its local container, subject to iOS backup and restore behavior you control.

Children’s privacy

OffloadProof is a general-purpose file utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other user.

International transfers

Selected files, checksums, and session history are not transferred to the developer or a developer server. Apple services and any File Provider or export destination you choose may process information under their own regional and privacy terms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if OffloadProof’s behavior changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material app-data changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy disclosure.
