Help with private recipe preservation, on-device text recognition, verification and cookbook export.
Choose a handwritten card, cookbook page, image or PDF, review every extracted field, then verify and save the recipe.
Getting started
Choose a handwritten card, cookbook page, image or PDF, review every extracted field, then verify and save the recipe.
Import and text recognition
Use Apple's system photo or document picker. Vision text recognition and the complete extraction fallback run on your device.
Review and editing
Confirm the title, ingredients, quantities, steps, times and temperatures against the original before saving. You can edit saved recipes later.
Export and sharing
Create PDF, Markdown and JSON files. ZIP exports can include the source evidence you selected, then Apple's share sheet lets you choose a destination.
Scaling and shopping lists
Scale ingredient quantities by servings and merge compatible quantities from selected recipes into a shopping list.
Privacy and security
There is no account, analytics, advertising, tracking, recipe upload, backend, cloud sync or external AI provider.
Purchases
Cookfolio AI is a paid App Store download. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or external checkout.
FAQ
Cookfolio AI preserves user-confirmed recipe text. Always verify times, temperatures, storage, allergens and food-safety instructions against the original source before use.
Does Cookfolio AI provide food-safety or health advice?
No. It preserves source text you confirm. It does not provide nutrition, allergen, diet, medical or food-safety advice.
Does the app save recognized text automatically?
No. You must review visible fields and resolve uncertain quantities or critical instructions before the recipe can be saved as verified.
Is Apple Intelligence required?
No. Apple Vision OCR and deterministic local rules provide the complete flow. Apple Intelligence may improve only non-safety organization fields on supported devices.
Does the app work offline?
Import, review, organization, scaling, shopping lists and export work without an account or app server. Public support links require internet access when opened.
Troubleshooting
If recognition fails, use a clearer image with readable contrast or import a text-based PDF, then review the selected source again. If export fails, confirm at least one verified recipe is included and the device has available storage, then create the cookbook again.
