Getting started

Tap Scan Table, choose Continue, and capture a document. You can also use Import for PDFs or selected images.

Reviewing cells

Orange cells need attention. Tap a cell, correct its value, then choose Done to mark it reviewed.

Exports

Confirm the table and select CSV, XLSX, PDF, or JSON. The iOS share sheet lets you save or send the file.

Privacy and deletion

Recognition stays on the device. Delete one document from Files or remove everything in Settings.

Frequently asked questions

Why did TableSnap AI mark a cell in orange?

The recognizer had lower confidence in that value or could not place a value in the expected column. Compare it with the original and edit it before export.

Can I scan handwriting?

Yes, but accuracy depends strongly on legibility, lighting, and clear row/column structure. Always review important values.

Does TableSnap AI upload my documents?

No. OCR, structure inference, editing, saving, and export run locally. The app has no backend or external AI provider.

Can I restore deleted local documents?

No. Deletion is permanent. Export a JSON or spreadsheet backup before deleting if you need another copy.

Troubleshooting

No text was found

  1. Use even lighting and avoid glare or shadows.
  2. Keep the full table inside the document crop.
  3. Move closer so characters are readable.
  4. Try importing the original PDF instead of a screenshot.

Rows or columns are misaligned

  1. Open the review screen and check highlighted cells.
  2. Use Edit Structure to add a missing row or column.
  3. Tap values to correct them before export.

The camera is unavailable

Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and allow TableSnap AI, or use Import without camera access.
