Getting started

Choose the starter home or begin empty, then edit rooms, tasks, estimates, and intervals to match your household.

Core workflow

Plans and cadence

Pick a time budget. ChoreCadence selects due and nearly due tasks locally, then updates each task’s future cadence from completion history.

Optional

On-device suggestions

Eligible iOS 26 devices can use Apple’s system model for editable suggestions. Every supported device also includes a deterministic local template fallback.

Permission

Reminders

Notifications are off by default and requested only after you turn on reminders in Settings and continue through the neutral explanation.

Your files

Exports

History can be exported as a PDF report, CSV file, or ICS calendar file through the system share sheet.

Private by design

Privacy and deletion

No account, analytics, ads, tracking, or cloud database. You can delete individual history entries or reset all local data in Settings.

Frequently asked questions

Does ChoreCadence require an account or internet connection?

No account is required. Core planning, history, cadence calculations, edits, and exports run locally. The optional Apple Foundation Models path also runs on device when the system reports it available.

Why is a task selected for today?

The local cadence engine considers the task’s due date, estimate, room, and recent completion rhythm. It prioritizes due and nearly due work that fits the time budget you selected.

Can I edit AI or template suggestions before saving?

Yes. Suggested tasks are drafts. Review, edit, add, or remove them before saving a room. Suggestions can be inaccurate, so only keep what fits your home.

What happens if I deny notification permission?

Reminders remain off. All planning and export features continue to work. You can change notification permission later in iOS Settings.

How do I move an export to another app or device?

Open History, choose Export, select PDF, CSV, or Calendar file, then choose a destination in Apple’s system share sheet. The destination you select controls the shared copy.

Does the app contain subscriptions or in-app purchases?

No. ChoreCadence AI is a one-time paid App Store download. There is no subscription, paywall, consumable purchase, or restore-purchases flow inside the app.

Troubleshooting

  1. No tasks appear in a plan: open Rooms and confirm at least one task is active. Check its due date, estimate, and archived state.
  2. Suggestions are unavailable: continue with the built-in local templates, which provide the complete room-creation workflow on every supported device.
  3. Reminders do not arrive: confirm reminders are enabled in ChoreCadence Settings and notifications are allowed for ChoreCadence AI in iOS Settings.
  4. An export destination is missing: create the file again and review the apps and actions offered by the system share sheet. Available destinations depend on installed apps.
  5. Data appears out of date: close and reopen the relevant tab. If the issue remains, quit and relaunch the app before contacting support.
